JOB SUMMARY
CommentsThe VP Branding Planning Director is responsible for leading the development of the strategic foundation of brand development process. He/she is responsible for orchestrating branding workshops such as; Brand Personality and Purpose Workshops, Brand Architecture Workshops, Naming and Nomenclature Workshops, etc. He/she will provide strategic recommendations to clients and internal team members and will be responsible for ensuring the strategic intent of the brand guides the execution and implementation of the brand identities.

The VP Branding Planning Director must understand customer insights as it relates to building brand perception and experiences for a brand through visual, verbal and sensory identity. He/she will actively collaborate with VP Branding Design Directors and Design Directors, in the development of design strategies. Also he/she will be the agency go to person for personality and purpose workshops, naming and color analysis. He/she must possess good presentation skills and be able to express strategic thinking and branding point of views.

The VP Branding Planning Director will also participate in the creation of new business presentations, as well as collaborate with the account team members in estimating budgets and timing for projects.

Naming

Create naming and nomenclature recommendations for branding assignments. Set the naming and nomenclature approach for branding assignments


JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Comments
  • Applies problem-solving skills to achieve unique strategic solutions for branding challenges.


  • Remains up-to-date on current healthcare industry trends, branding and related communications industries.


  • Presents and sells strategic capabilities and offerings to internal teams and external clients.


  • Delivers insightful strategy presentations within given budgets and timelines.


  • Assesses the branding intent in competitive material, supervises the creation of competitive audits and presents recommendations based on market opportunities.


  • Leads the preparation of brand personality and purpose workshops; writes and presents workshop reports to clients.


  • Creates color analysis presentations in collaboration with a Design Director.


  • Partners with a Design Directors to write and develop brand personality descriptors, brand purpose statement, branding guidelines, and brand vision books.


  • Builds strategic rationale for brand architectures solutions.


  • Writes proposals and creates estimates for project timing and budgets.


  • Collaborates with the Sr. Account Executive to track project progress and alert the Branding Planning team, the VP Branding Design Directors, and SVP Creative director on budget and timeline issues.


  • Helps to instill integration of the FCB company’s philosophy and innovations with clients and agency staff.


  • Recognizes areas where innovative thinking could lead to Agency progress.
