**This position will be based in Phoenix, Arizona, and you will need to go into the Dillard's office daily.


DILLARD’S PLANNER (VMI)

The VMI planner is a dedicated Dillard’s representative, employed by Camuto Group. The VMI planner must be flexible and embrace constant change, as the job is always evolving based on what is happening currently in the business. The VMI planner must have strong collaboration skills as this job requires a professional partnership between the vendor (Camuto) and retailer (Dillard’s).


  • FINANCIAL
    • Achieve Gross Margin and Sales expectation set forth by department plan through the management of sales/markdowns/receipt flow/assortment plan.
    • Partner with DDS VMI director on all aspects of business using clear and concise communication to achieve goals.
    • Weekly business review with DDS VMI director to review selling and provide actionable ways to improve business.
    • Learn and work with the appropriate chain of command to execute what is needed to be successful in your department.
    • Propose Annual sales plan by month, Seasonal sales plan by door. Monitor during each season to suggest adjustments that coordinate with store/market trends and/or Dillard’s initiatives
    • Share DDS financial screen shots weekly with key account rep. Update DDS daily sales by division recap.


  • BUSINESS ANALYSIS
    • Continual Analysis of business drilled down to the door/sku level.
    • Weekly reports/recaps presenting current business in a manner that highlights opportunities/challenges in an actionable way
    • Door performance analysis to assist with reorders/on order changes
    • Market planning and preparation
    • Forecast/Manage markdowns by implementing timely selections that will drive sales in the most profitable and appropriate long-term manner. Submit markdowns in a timely manner for approval; Review and monitor aged inventories and missed markdowns by door.
    • Provide DDS VMI director with various sales analysis as requested. For example, Boot/Bootie TY LY recaps, SATH (selling at the high), MD selling analysis TY LY.


  • ASSORTMENT PLANNING
    • Using DDS Buyer Workbench system to allocate product that fits within the OTB by door.
      • Set up all styles in the Dillard’s system with item attributes
      • Key all orders and submit for approval
    • Identify door/assortment opportunities to ensure growth year over year.
    • Use weekly reorders by door to identify opportunities for increased sales/shipping
    • Use Pool Stock to provide available inventory on key items; partner with Dillard’s SCAT team to closely monitor and adjust pool stock inventory and by door model stocks.
    • Maintain on order and suggest revisions based upon current sales and opportunities; manage extensions and accelerations


  • MARKET MEETINGS
    • Market planning and preparation- displaying an understanding of LY performance and its impact on future planning
      • Recaps include:
        • Selling by style/color/size/material/size/heel height
        • Key item TY/LY
        • Category/ class recaps
        • Climate/region recaps
        • Store performance recap
        • On Order recaps of meeting showing flow by month / cluster / region / doors


  • DILLARD’S STORES/SYSTEMS
    • Master Dillard’s systems to gain comprehensive working knowledge that allows VMI executive to work independently on these systems. Keep up with system enhancements and ever evolving new technology available for business success.
      • BWB = Buyer Workbench for order entry
      • COGNOS = report generation for analysis
      • GREEN SCREENS = Dillard’s internal system used to track orders, view live sales, key markdowns, and planning/financial information
    • Attend all Dillard’s training seminars offered in PHX to ensure VMI executive is up to date with the latest system initiatives.
    • Build and maintain professional relationship with Dillard’s organization and have an understanding and respect of their corporate culture.
