NEBRASKA PICC SPECIALISTS is the oldest and most established vascular access company in the Omaha/Lincoln area. Due to our exceptional growth and demands of the various facilities that we service, we are recruiting for a PICC nurse to join our team. We are a 24/7 team, looking for one to two Registered Nurses for one to two days a week with one weekend a month coverage. This is an on-call position.

Job Functions:

-Successful placement of Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters using Sapiens 3CG Technology

-Knowledge of various types of vascular access and ability to assess proper vascular access for patient population

-Ability to place not only PICC lines but also difficult peripheral IV’s and Powerglide midline catheters

-Provide adequate education to patient and families on care of catheters after placement, as well as risks and benefits

-Accurate documentation for various hospitals serviced

-Independent transportation to various contracts serviced

-Outstanding teamwork and communication skills

-Autonomy encouraged

Education/Licensure Requirements:

-Current and valid Nebraska RN license/RN compact license

-Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

-PICC line certification through Bard Access online course with adequate successful line placements observed by a trained clinician

-Experienced PICC nurse preferred, but willing to train qualified candidate
