Mercy Clinic-St. Louis is a seeking a full-time staff physician for a position in the Mercy Kids Therapy, Development and Autism Centers. Acceptable candidates include fellowship trained, Neurodevelopmental or Developmental Behavioral Pediatricians; Child Neurologists; Child Psychiatrists; or board-certified General Pediatricians with considerable experience and/or special interest in the diagnosis and care of children and adolescents with autism and neuro-developmental conditions.

The Center is located in St. Louis County, Missouri, and is housed within a comprehensive, interdisciplinary outpatient children's therapy and development center which operates as a component of Mercy Children's Hospital-St. Louis.
The ideal candidate will have training and experience in the diagnosis and continuing care of children and adolescents with the whole range of neurodevelopmental and behavioral conditions including autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, ADHD, learning disorders, emotional/behavioral difficulties and sleeping/feeding issues among others. The Autism Center staff of 30 works as a highly committed interdisciplinary team and includes medical specialists in child neurology, developmental-behavioral and neurodevelopmental pediatrics and a pediatric nurse practitioner partnered with professionals in child psychology, clinical social work, behavioral analysis and the full range of pediatric therapies. On-site family navigation services, genetic counseling and teams for evaluation of complex feeding difficulties and augmentative/alternative communication concerns are provided. Mercy Clinic pediatric specialists in sleep medicine, gastroenterology and nutrition and child and adolescent psychiatry are available to support and enable comprehensive care.
The Autism Center staff is committed to excellence in clinical care using a family and patient-centered care model. The Center is designated as a grant-funded Missouri Autism Center and has close working relationships with regional academic centers which provides opportunities to participate in a variety of educational and clinical research projects for the interested candidate.
The position includes medical responsibility for clinical evaluation and management of children with neurodevelopmental and behavioral issues within an individual or multidisciplinary framework. Our diagnostic and assessment approaches and therapeutic interventions are evidence-based and include individual and team diagnostics, ADOS testers with research reliability and individualized psychometric, occupational and speech and language evaluations on site. Interventions provided include, 4 ESDM classrooms staffed by certified ESDM therapists, an ABA therapy program, and psychological counseling and CBT. An Infant Monitoring and Intervention Program for high-risk siblings is also a component of our programming.
An administrative role as Associate Medical Director is available for the right candidate. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with the current Medical Director and the potential for transition to the Medical Director role.
Mercy Clinic Pediatrics Kids is a group of fifteen primary care pediatric practices distributed across the St. Louis metropolitan area and partnered with multiple pediatric specialty practices. Mercy Clinic Pediatrics operates under the umbrella of Mercy Kids, a Division of the Mercy Ministry, which supports a 4-state distributed network of pediatricians, family medicine physicians, APAs, and pediatric sub-specialists and has responsibility for oversight and coordination of care for nearly 300,000 Mercy Kids in our four-state region.
