The Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers in the state of Colorado to disclose the following information. Hourly (salary) minimum $37.57, hourly (salary) maximum $42.93. The base hourly (salary) range above represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual hourly (salary) rates may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to: experience, education, and training.

Pay is just one component to prospective employees’ compensation package. Compensation may also include shift differentials. JOB PURPOSE: To improve the health and wellbeing of our communities.


BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment. Evaluates and treats patients suffering from a physical disability due to injury, disease or surgery. Establishes treatment plans and treats patients using a variety of methods, including exercises, wound care, aquatic therapy, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients' pain and help them increase their mobility. Works cooperatively with physicians, physician assistants (PA), nurse practitioners (NP), case managers, and insurance adjusters. May supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers. Administers treatments and physical agents in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, surgery, disease, or physical disability. Responsible for direction of the Rehabilitation Services Department certified staff, including Physical Therapy Assistants, Physical Therapy students, Physical Therapy Aides, and Techs. Provides services to a broad spectrum of patients which may include pediatrics, adult, inpatient, outpatient and geriatric at various Grand River Hospital District campuses as assigned. Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Must have obtained a bachelors, masters, or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy at a college or university which has been accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association, have a current Colorado State Physical Therapy License, or be scheduled for the board examination. Current BLS (CPR) certification upon initial hire and must maintain through GRHD employment.


Experience: Practical experience obtained from previous experience in all aspects of physical therapy. Ability to maintain good working relationships both within the department and with the other departments. Must be at least eighteen years of age.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of physical medicine, physical therapy modalities, anatomy and physiology. Must be able to learn new tasks, follow written and verbal instructions, and keep routine records and prioritize care given to patients. Must communicate appropriately and clearly to patients, physicians, staff, and the administrative team. Documentation meets current standards and policies. Must be proficient within six (6) months of hire in Meditech, Cedaron, PACS, Exercise Pro, Allscripts EHR, Galactica, QHN, Microsoft Office, Kronos, and HealthStream.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.


WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. Frequent exposure to conditions common to a medical/clinical facility, such as exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and medical preparations.
