Our Software solutions team, headquartered in New York City’s financial district, is where we build solutions for clients looking to solve the most complex digital business challenges.

This position is for our Software solutions team and is based in New York City. As the PHP Developer, you will be responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.


Responsibilities

• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers
• Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
• Integration of data storage solutions
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Additional requirements may exist if offer of employment is extended

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent amount of experience; or additional education with less experience
• Good understanding of fundamentals and concepts of Cake PHP and Core PHP
• Ability to develop and manage e-commerce websites, web applications, other websites.
• Understanding of open source projects like Joomla, Drupal, WordPress, osCommerce, Open cart etc.
• Knowledge of OOPS & Database.
• Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX etc
• Analyze, debug, and test code.
• Write well-engineered source code that complies with accepted web standards.
• Possess strong problem-solving skills, including ability to address issues in collaboration with others as appropriate.
• Experience in a web environment required
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
