Kennelwood Pet Resorts of St. Louis, MO and the Metro East is hiring full-time and part-time Pet Boarding Attendants. Is it your dream to work with dogs and cats for a living? A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A PET BOARDING ATTENDANT


As a Pet Boarding Attendant, you ensure that each animal guest at our resort stays in clean accommodations and has all their individual needs attended to. You clean and sanitize hotel areas, outside runs, and laundry. You are a practical, get-it-done person who takes scooping poop in stride! You provide meals to our animal guests, administer meds, and keep accurate records. You get to walk dogs, conduct fun events like Yappy Hour, and provide Buzzy Bone treats to our guests.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs on occasion
  • Ability to walk dogs of all sizes on leashes
  • Comfortable working around pet hair and dander
  • Attend our safety handling training prior to starting work
  • A passion for animals


Any prior experience which involves hands-on animal care such as at a veterinarian's office is a PLUS! Do you have a knack for handling dogs safely and are receptive to learning more? Do you prioritize tasks effectively? Do you have good communication and customer service skills? Do you work well as part of a team? Are you conscientious about following policies and protocols? If so, you might just be perfect for this position!


WORK SCHEDULE


We have three shifts available. We are open 7 days a week, so weekends and holidays are part of the job.


  • 1st shift is 6:00 am to 2:00 pm
  • 2nd shift is 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm
  • 3rd shift is 10:00 pm to 6:00 am
