Title: Personal Assistant & House Manager
Salary Range: $2,600 - $3,457 per month
Job Status: Temp to hire
Schedule: 30-40 hours per week average, may include evenings and weekends

Founder and Principal of a North Portland-based startup consulting company is seeking a values-aligned Personal Assistant & House Manager. The founder is a busy single working mother growing a fast-scaling national business from a third-floor home office with a remote team - along with raising a puppy, managing adult daughters, and maintaining home and various household and personal projects.
The family is looking for a driven and curious person with a strong passion for personal service and care, executive household management, facilities coordination and caregiving, clothing management and preparation, hospitality, property and facilities maintenance, and family support. The Personal Assistant will be a key member of the Founder's household and will work with her family, company teams as necessary, as well as household vendors and contractors, pets, visitors and guests. This is a growth position: the ideal person for this critical supporting role will work with the family long term and could receive increasing compensation and benefits over time as they grow into additional responsibilities.

The role will involve the following:
Executive & Family Support
- Coordinate personal appointments for executive and family
- Help drive and transport family members as needed
- Provide caregiving and responsible adult supervision and companionship to founder's children as needed
- Provide or procure tutoring and support for school and extra-curricular projects, coordination of school schedules, and communications
- Assist with caring for our family dog - walking, feeding, pet sitting as needed
- Manage schedule, coordinate appointments, and accompany young artist/singer to auditions when needed
Household Management
- Support the systemization and execution of key household processes including housekeeping, grocery shopping, meal planning and preparation, and yard/deck maintenance
- Maintain the household day to day and long-term schedule
- Maintain and provide on-site management and support for the company's physical third-floor office space
- Coordinate deliveries and trash disposal; plan and manage office and home moves as needed
Travel & Event planning
- Schedule travel and lodging arrangements as needed; help pack and unpack clothing and personal items, as well as business materials for travels
- Schedule family and household events including post-pandemic functions
Communication & Relationships
- Report and escalate issues to executive as needed
- Liaison with key individuals and outside vendors
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Research and recommend products, services, and approaches as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills & Experience
- Personal maturity, sound judgement, motivation, and integrity
- Computer savvy for maintaining schedule, booking appointments, coordinating
- Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, respectful and responsible adults
- Proven domestic multitasking, project coordination and/or management experience
- Experience with teenagers and young adults
- Dog-friendly, experience with dogs a plus
- Knowledgeable in healthful and nutritious foods, cooking, and meal planning
- Experience preparing and managing family budgets
- Scheduling, coordination, and clear communication
- 3+ years of housekeeping experience (paid or otherwise)
- Ability to operate household cleaning equipment and safely handle cleaning supplies and chemicals
Requirements
- Valid OR driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation
- COVID-safe practices including masks, non-shared internal space, and testing, staying up to date on latest requirements and precautions, and communicating potential exposure to family immediately
- Responsible social distancing and co-isolating with the executive's family
- Comfortable and competent with smart phones and computers
- Background check & references
