Position Overview
The Sr. Manager of People Team Projects & Programs is responsible for leading the Quarterly People Review process, maintaining Employee Experience Strategies, Ralph Lauren University project management, and supporting organizational development & effectiveness initiatives. They will also drive alignment of cyclical moments throughout the year; while supporting core process people-related work. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Project Management - Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple global functional teams.
- Full project life cycle support: design, scale, track and help execute project initiatives; while ensuring we
put the employee at the center of everything we do. - Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly
supports the achievement of strategic objectives and adjusting scope and direction as needed. - Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables
with team members and stakeholders. - Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources.
- Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues,
communicating to stakeholders, partners, and leadership across all phases of the work. - Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path
deliverables. - Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project and program team, analyze results
and troubleshoot problem areas. - Define success criteria and subsequently report on results, metrics, test and deployment management
activities to involved priorities throughout the project life cycle.
Business Partner - Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and
excellence. - Establish practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for
the organization. - Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.
- Deliver appropriate and effective executive-level communication, tailoring structure and content of
messaging to the needs of the audience. - Provide thought partnership to cross-functional partners, sharing observations and insights gathered from
intersectional workstreams. General • Other duties as assigned; essential duties may change depending on business needs. - Development and maintenance of internal P&D team tools and share drives.
- Collaborates with People Team Coordinator to maintain and update HR database, org charts, and employee records in general.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
4-year college degree preferred in HR, Business, Behavioral Science, or a related field. - A minimum of 5 years of experience and a proven track record working as an HR Business Partner/HR
Generalist in a related field preferred. - Must have experience with program management, project leadership, communication, strategy design and
overall understanding of the employee experience modeling - Experience maintaining a positive employee relations environment.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across the organization as well as within
Human Resources. - Must be able to prioritize and identify critical projects requiring immediate attention.
- Must maintain collaborative relationships and effectively communicate any concerns, status of projects and
issues as they may occur in order to mitigate any operational risks. - Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Highly proficient in MS Office software, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio and Apple
