OVERVIEW
We're looking for a Program Specialist to support and develop various People Programs across Instacart with an initial focus on Global Corporate Onboarding. This role will handle the day-to-day logistics for onboarding and orientation, and contribute to additional initiatives on the People Programs team. The job requires quick problem solving, behind-the-scenes operational excellence, keen project management skills, and public speaking finesse (in-person and virtually!). A person in this role will have the opportunity to welcome corporate new hires to Instacart during rapid company growth, scale the Onboarding program, and contribute to the development of people-centered programs across Instacart.
The People Programs team works across Instacart's HR and Recruiting functions to build impactful programs that enable and empower employees at each stage of their Instacart lifecycle. We're an operationally minded, people-centered team working with partners across the organization, and are excited to grow!
ABOUT THE JOB
- Drive all New Hire logistics and communications - ensuring a seamless onboarding experience by connecting new hires to company information, informing and working with cross-functional stakeholders, and seeing issues through to resolution
- Facilitate Orientation in the San Francisco office (once we're back in-person) and virtually every week, telling the Instacart story and helping new hires (New Carrots, we call them) dive into work
- Execute on projects designed to improve the Onboarding experience, including revamping new hire surveys, developing an Onboarding Buddy program, building program resources, and streamlining processes
- Use program data and feedback effectively to impact and develop program content and operations
- Proactively manage expectations of all program partners, contributing to the broader People Programs partnership and implementation strategy
- Drive projects designed to scale operations and content for various People Programs
ABOUT YOU
- 3+ years of experience coordinating Recruiting, HR, or people-centered programs at a high-growth company
- Proven experience facilitating large groups in-person and virtually to create positive and engaging experiences for diverse audiences
- An independent project manager able to run initiatives from start to finish (scope, design, deliver, review)
- An organizational guru- you possess excellent organization and prioritization skills, understanding that details have high impact on employee experience
- A fantastic public speaker with experience maintaining professionalism and polish
- An excellent communicator, both written and verbal- you can take complex ideas and make them easy to understand for a broad audience
- Practiced in demonstrating discretion and professionalism in working with sensitive people data
- Comfortable working tactfully with high-touch talent and stakeholders
