- Skill in greeting patients with a strong customer service focus.
- Maintain working knowledge of all provider's schedules
- Check in patients for treatment, collecting co-pays, and verifying patient information.
- Schedule patient appointments as needed for window inquiries.
- Verify patient insurance per standards set by billing department.
- Process outgoing mail and distribute incoming mail.
- Prepare initial patient medical record for all new patients.
- Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary.
- Minimize non-productive time and fill slow periods with activities that will enable you to prepare to meet the future needs of the office (organizing, housekeeping, assisting others, etc.).
- Photocopy, fax and file as required.
- Scan all patient forms and documents (HIPPA, registration forms and updates, medical records, consults, progress notes etc.); and maintain appropriate naming conventions for all documents scanned.
- Respond to routine requests for information in a timely manner following procedure/guidelines.
- Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Follow OSHA standards regarding bloodborne pathogens and practice Universal Precautions. Adhere to safety guidelines always.
- Demonstrate flexibility to perform duties wherever volume deems it necessary within the office.
- Routinely check telephone encounter and action items. Generate these communication tools as required for every patient interaction.

- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
