We are looking for a Manager to join our team and lead the Payroll and Equity Compensation processing in a fast-paced high-growth organization.
What you'll do.
- Lead the day-to-day payroll operations ensuring accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payrolls for salaried and hourly employees
- Manage equity compensation processing including stock option exercises, restricted stock vesting, and serving as a liaison with the equity compensation administrator
- Prepare and submit timely payroll tax filings
- Ensures payroll and equity processes are in compliance with SOX requirements as well as applicable federal and state regulations, including applicable wage and hour regulations
- Work closely with the with the Accounting team to ensure accurate payroll/equity accounting and reconciliations
- Coordinate with HR and Finance teams including performing analyses and generating reports for compensation planning and financial analysis
- Serve as a resource for employees on payroll and equity compensation matters as they arise
- Project lead for payroll related projects, including continuous process and system improvements as well as automation that is scalable and support the company’s growth
- Identify areas for improvement and efficiency including best practices for payroll and equity administration; provide recommendations to senior management
- Coordinate with outside auditors with quarterly and annual audits
About you.
- 7+ years prior professional payroll experience with a mid-to-large size publicly traded company
- Undergraduate degree or higher
- Extensive understanding of payroll processing, including tax implications and accounting procedures
- Strong understanding of stock and equity administration and related tax implications
- Experience implementing payroll/HRIS system a strong plus
- Excellent planning, analytical, interpersonal, and communications skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Inquisitive; natural problem solver
- Must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment with strong time-management skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to multitask
- Candidate must be driven to deliver results with the ability to establish rapport, earn trust, and effectively collaborate with others
