The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the bi-weekly processing of payroll. The Payroll Coordinator processes timesheets, updates payroll records, answers employee questions about payments, and is the primary point of contact for assigned locations. The Payroll Coordinator will need to understand the various requirements and conditions relating to Fleet Farm’s payroll processing.
- Process, audit, and maintain payroll records for assigned locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct weekly review of Team Member timecards to ensure proper edits are made for paid and unpaid time (i.e. Company benefits, leaves of absence, and other absences). Review payroll data for completeness and accuracy.
- Investigate discrepancies, take corrective actions, and initiate necessary correspondence.
- Coordinate the timely and accurate processing of new hires and terminations into the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Provide support for Kronos Workforce Central including security administration, system configuration changes, testing, diagnostics, reporting, and ad-hoc projects.
- Prepare team member wage verifications for third parties.
- Always maintain the highest degree of integrity as it pertains to confidential and sensitive information.
Education/Experience:
- 2 or more years of experience in payroll and payroll processing is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, and payroll processing software is required.
- Experience with Kronos Workforce Central Timekeeping is required.
- Experience in a multi-location company is preferred.
- Experience with UltiPro HRIS software is preferred.
