The Payroll and Benefits Coordinator assists the Human Resource Manager with coordinating all administrative payroll and benefits tasks for Buff City Soap.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Assist employees with day-to-day payroll and benefits questions
- Compile employee time and payroll data from timesheets and effectively import them into the payroll system
- Accurately track all pay period activities, such as pay adjustments and PTO
- Compile recurring payroll and benefits reports and submit them to the appropriate departments
- Maintain employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee pay data, job classification, organizational structure, and other key details.
- Communicate benefits to new employees, through employment changes, and during open enrollment
- Assists with the administration of employee benefits, which includes collecting and submitting employee information to the carrier
- Assist the HR manager in coordinating the open enrollment process
- Conduct or assists with record audits, including timekeeping audits
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:- 3+ years of office/ administrative experience required; 1 year of experience in HR preferred
- Degree in Human Resources, Accounting or another related field highly preferred
- Experience using HR software (experience with Paychex, Deputy, and/or 7 Shifts is a plus!)
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and pivot as needed
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize effectively
- Ability to work successfully as part of a team and independently
- Experienced in using all Microsoft Office applications – Google Drive, Monday.com a bonus
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with audiences of all levels
- Strong project management skills
Physical Requirements:- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
