Job Summary

At Pacific Women's Healthcare Associates, our practice is dedicated to providing specialized gynecologic and obstetrical care for the "whole person," at all stages of life. Our personalized care is tailored to your needs. We provide a safe, caring & respectful environment in addition to providing comprehensive and state-of-the-art minimally invasive surgical procedures. We are looking to add an experienced Patient Service Representative to our highly skilled staff.

Description:

The Patient Services Representative is responsible for creating a patient focused atmosphere while handling the administrative and billing responsibilities of the office. The primary objective is to ensure that day to day clerical and clinical functions are executed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities (May include any of the following):

  • Greets patients in a courteous manner, maintain the registration process and obtain accurate patient data including demographic and insurance information;
  • Promptly and professionally answers HEAVY VOLUME of telephone calls, and routes the calls appropriately;
  • Schedules patient appointments and procedures;
  • Adhere to privacy, confidentiality, and safety guidelines per office policies and protocol. Obtain proper authorizations as necessary;
  • Explain financial requirements to the patient or responsible parties, collect co-pays and outstanding balances as required;
  • Monitor office supplies and inventory, and responsible for office equipment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Medical Office Experience Highly Preferred
  • Excellent Phone etiquette and people skills
  • Must be fully COVID vaccinated before start date
  • Proficient with medical practice management software and Microsoft Office;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, families, staff and others;
  • Organize and prioritize responsibilities while remaining flexible to changing demands;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure with minimal supervision;
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
  • Must have high level of discretion and judgement.

Physical Demands :

  • May require long periods of time sitting, standing, walking, and talking;
  • Will require viewing computer screen and typing on a keyboard for prolonged periods of time.

COVID-19 considerations:
Masks are required of all Personnel. All restrooms are cleaned multiple times a day and exams rooms are cleaned after every visit.

Experience:

  • Customer Service: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Computer Skills: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Medical office: 2 years (Preferred)
