Location: 15110 John J Delaney Dr Suite 130 Charlotte 28277

Hours: Monday - Friday from 12 pm to 9 pm (shift differential applies after 5 pm) with a rotating Saturday approximately once every 4 to 8 weeks.

The Patient Representative position provides day-to-day support to Outpatient Breast and/or CIS sites. This position is responsible for patient reception and registration, ensuring insurance authorizations are obtained, scheduling exams for patients as needed, collection of payments, and communicating with clinical staff and patients to help maintain office flow and efficiency.
  • Responsible for registration of patients that includes data entry of insurance and demographic updates into various systems. Schedules appointments and follow-up exams for patients as needed including walk-ins and phone requests.
  • Responsible for obtaining referrals from referring providers as needed
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls. Act as a resource for patients and referring providers with any questions or concerns
  • Communicates OOP costs and arranges collection of payments from patients at the time of service
What you bring:
Required Experience/Knowledge: Medical office experience. Able to read and interpret medical reports. Computer literate with the ability to work between multiple computer systems, excellent verbal and written customer service skills, strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, good judgement and decision-making skills, ability to work both independently and in a team.

Preferred or Desired Experience/Knowledge: Familiarity or experience in Imaging Services. CPR certified.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent education/experience

Work Environment: Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Exposure to Radiation, infectious disease, bloodborne pathogens, lifting, standing, floating coverage, overtime as needed, work outside of normal M-F business hours as needed.
