PATIENT REGISTRATION- ONEFIFTEENADDICITON SERVICES Hiring for 2nd & 3rd Shift!!!

Samaritan Behavioral Health, Inc. and OneFifteen Health are partnering to provide care on the OneFifteen campus - https://onefifteen.org/ - a state-of-the-art tech-enabled treatment program, dedicated to the full and sustained recovery of people suffering from opioid addiction and other behavioral health disorders.

The Patient Registration/Support Staff functions as a member of an administrative or treatment team to assure prompt, accurate, customer centered services to patients, staff, and other customers in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations. Patient Registration Support staff perform a variety of duties, including; registration, answering incoming calls, scheduling, billing, scanning, processing releases, and auditing.

Job Duties include:

  • Check clients in for individual and group services, verify status in EMR, and electronically and verbally notify assigned staff member of client presence.
  • Register patients according to OneFifteen/SBHI protocol and completing annual update documentation.
  • Correctly identify method of payment reimbursable to SBHI. Verify client insurance as well as portion client is responsible for and convey information to client. Verify client payment amounts. Collect patient co-pays at the time of service.
  • Ensure that patient demographics and payer source(s) are entered into EMR.
  • Assure that HIPAA confidentiality regulations are followed. Ensure that client rights are delivered to clients.
  • Respond to “Missing UCI Report” and ensure that corrections are completed within 48 hours.
  • Communicate trends and problems with reimbursement, registration, payment, or scheduling to assigned supervisor.
  • Handle mail and route to correct individual, as applicable.
  • Contact support for office machine repair needs.
  • Schedule patients in an accurate manner per program procedures.
  • Ensure scanning of patient documents into the EMR in a timely manner.
  • Order office and paper supplies as needed for assigned program and supervisor requests.
  • Participate in scheduled support staff meetings and other team meetings as requested Consistently communicate with other support staff.
  • Process monthly verification of patient Medicaid via MITS in conjunction with front desk staff (back-up only as needed).
  • Greet and interact with patients and OneFifteen staff in a friendly and professional manner. Communicate and perform with the consumer in mind by establishing and maintaining effective relationships to gain trust and respect.
  • Distribute and collect patient satisfaction surveys.
  • Enter patient information into EMR system and retrieve data.
  • Enter patient information into MITS using UCI number obtained from ADAMHS (which is entered into EMR system) as appropriate.
  • Prepare intake packets for off-site programs and process openings in EMR and scan clinical information into EMR.
  • Complete special projects as requested.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Relevant coursework or two years relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Experience with EMR and medical office processes.
