Position Summary: The Patient Care Tech (PCT) is responsible to assist the professional staff by performing various care activities and related noncomplex services necessary in caring for the needs of the patient and family. The PCT will be responsible for the delivery of care as directed by the Department Director, Charge Nurse, or RN, and maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. The PCT should strive to incorporate the vision and mission statement of the hospital and incorporate the goal of quality care in a personal manner with total regard for individual human dignity. Job Specifications: Education: Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience: Preferred: One year as a Certified Nursing Assistant License/Certification: Required: BLS, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Special Skills/Training: Required: Good verbal and nonverbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills.
