Shift: Days

The role you’ll contribute:

Assists and supports the histology technical staff with daily work assignments. Accurately and expediently sorts, accessions, and processes surgical/cytology specimens and requisitions. Performs and records QA/QC. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the supervisor and/or licensed Histotechnologist.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Responsibilities, include but are not limited, to processing of specimens correctly for the Pathology Department
• Filling paperwork, login specimens, registering out-patients, disposal of chemicals, data entry, preparation of send outs and any other clerical duties related to the Department.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High school Graduate or equivalent. Strong working knowledge of excel and word is required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

• Previous experience in a pathology laboratory setting is preferred.
