Summary: Provides outstanding guest service by providing the guest with assistance in any area necessary, answers phones, makes reservations, checks-in, checkouts guests, and posts any charges incurred during stay by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Greets all guests with a friendly welcome and a smile.*
  • Responds promptly to guest questions complaints and requests.*
  • Maintains a clean, pleasant, and professional image to the guest and wear the proper uniform at all times.*
  • Keeps working area clean and organized.*
  • Supplies information about the hotel’s services, the community, points of interest, and accurate travel directions.*
  • Works lobby bar as needed and necessary.*
  • Cleans lobby area to maintain a clean, neat, and professional atmosphere.*
  • Answers the phone, directs calls professionally and courteously, and takes accurate messages and delivers them promptly.*
  • Completes guest check-ins and checkouts according to standards of service.*
  • Sells rooms as needed and makes reservations when requested using knowledge of room rates and selling restrictions and strategies.*
  • Completes all duties as specified on shift checklist and prints reports as assigned.*
  • Reviews all daily events to assist incoming guests with the location of their functions.*
  • Communicates all guests at risk with supervisor and or manager on duty.*
  • Communicates with other hotel departments regarding guest service requests or complaints.*
  • Responsible for the shift cash drawer and balance to report at the end of each shift.*
  • Cashes guest checks and handles credit card transactions according to accounting procedures.*
  • Provides assistance to other associates to contribute to the smooth operation of the department and the hotel.*
  • Creates a comfortable guest experience by immediately taking care of requests including but not limited to beverage service, baggage handling, extra amenities, rollaways, cribs, and anything else requested by the guest.*
  • Provides service in accordance with brand standards.*
  • Presents friendly, outgoing, energetic, and guest service oriented demeanor.*
  • Follows all company safety and security policies and procedures.*
  • Performs all duties as required and other tasks as assigned with a “satisfy the guest” attitude while following good housekeeping habits and safe work practices.
