Overview: The WIA Driver shall maintain a professional bearing and dress in a manner representative of this organization and fulfill tasks as directed by the WIA Management team. Because of the timely nature and sensitivity of this position, a WIA Driver shall arrive on time or ahead of their scheduled shift and maintain a clean driving record at all times. This position will require some day, evening, and weekend shifts. Minimum Requirements: The WIA Driver should possess the following skills and abilities: · Maintain a professional manner that is representative of WIA at all times. · Have a clean driving record of at least five years and CDL experience of at least one year. · Maintain a current CDL license with both S- and P-endorsements. · Be comfortable driving a 14-passanger van. · Availability to cover all shifts as described in the specialization breakdowns. Hours and Pay: · Hours: Approximately 6:00 am to 8:00 am, 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm, and additional afternoon, evening, or weekend hours as needed for student rides. · Pay: Varies by experience, approximately $12.00 to $15.00 per hour. Please Note: · All hours and schedules subject to change without notification from WIA. You will be expected to check in with a supervisor if you have any questions. · If schedules change or a ride is canceled, the driver shall be expected to remain productive with the tasks provided for them by a supervisor or manager. SPECIALIZATION BREAKDOWN Duties of the driver include but are not limited to the following: Zero-Hour · Morning shift is Monday through Friday from approximately 6:00 am to 8:00 am. · Take morning attendance and call office SA to notify of missing students. · Ensure two-way communication between driver and office employees. · Safely transport students to school and return to dorms. · Return vehicle keys and all paperwork to the office. · Assist morning office SA’s as needed with attendance, paperwork, and gathering electronics. Afternoon and Evening Rides: · Afternoon rides run approximately 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. · Evening rides run approximately 4:00 pm to 8:30pm. · Check daily breakdowns and ride sign-ups to be aware of schedule and changes. · Properly check out vehicles. · Answer calls from the office as needed in a safe manner. · Ensure safe transportation of students. · Check the vehicles and perform vehicle maintenance as needed, including washing and cleaning out vehicles. Weekends: · Drive students to morning detentions, tests, study halls, and other activities. · Take students to specified locations as detailed on the breakdowns. · WIA may request some afternoon availability. This will be communicated in advance. Perform other duties as assigned and as needed.
