Part-Time Dental Assistant Lab Instructor

Employment Type : Full-Time

Dental Assisting, including alginate & polyvinyl siloxane impressions & bite registrations, pouring & trimming study models, exposing radiographs using both paralleling & bisecting angle techniques, processing x-ray film, packing retraction cord, fabrication of custom acrylic provisionals, mixing & manipulation of luting cements, proficient in current infection control guidelines & procedures, 4-handed chairside assisting skills including instrument transfer.

Days and hours will be: Tuesday and Friday 7:30am – 3:00pm.

• Must have at least 1 year Dental Assisting experience within the last 3 years.
• Must have Current Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential
• Must have Current Oklahoma Dental Assistant Permit with Radiation Protection and Safety Eligible Function
• Must have Oklahoma expanded functions permits:
  • Coronal Polishing and Topical Fluoride; assisting in the administration of Nitrous Oxide; placement of Pit and Fissure Sealant.
• Must have current or obtain the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS CPR Card.
