Summary

We specifically need assistants who have availability between 3:00 pm - 5:40 pm from Monday to Friday. If your hours of availability to cover all of these requested times, please apply today! Please note that this is open for 2 positions! (Note: this is for the closing shift but has the opportunity to cover additional hours.)

An Assistant Teacher (also known as an Aide) supports the Lead Teachers and the Child Care Director by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. S/he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment.

We offer training as well! And annual training costs are paid by Pullman Christian Childcare Center.

Duties

• Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.
• Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
• Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
• Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
• Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
• Follow all center policies and state regulations.
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

• Ability to work well with others.
• Agree and sign with lifestyle and statement of faith letters given at application.
• Certificate of Childcare Basics STARS training (we assist with setting this up but must be completed by start date)
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification
• Must clear full background check.
• Must pass a health screening, including proof of MMR.

Pullman Christian Childcare Center is licensed by the state of Washington for the care of children ages birth through twelve years.
