Purpose of the position: This position is responsible for leading a crew of Parking Attendants to ensure guest parking is carried out in a safe and orderly fashion in order to maximize the resort parking space. Essential Functions: The Parking Crew Leader is responsible for training parking attendants on the proper etiquette for greeting customers and ensuring customer concerns are addressed in a professional and courteous manner; schedules parking attendants according to forecasted weather and crowds; communicates schedule with parking attendants; ensures all parking attendants have a thorough understanding of the services and venues at the resort so they can communicate those to guests. Communicate with Mountain Operations Director and Guest Services Supervisor on parking availability and traffic flow; ensure ski resort customers are prioritized to travel to the resort; ensure, to the extent possible, guests coming to sled are directed to the proper snow play areas in the vicinity. Education / Training / License(s) / Certification(s) Requirements: Valid Driver’s License and a copy of [3 year] motor vehicle record; High School Diploma Experience Requirements: Two years’ experience as a Parking Attendant at a ski resort or industry similar experience. COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Friendly and outgoing, enthusiastic and thorough knowledge of the resort(s) products, services, and venues. Ability to build a strong team of people working to execute common goals. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to anticipate possible safety issues and put in place proper prevention strategies. Must be confident with strong, clear, concise verbal communication skills. Motivated and strong team player with the ability to promote and contribute to collaborations with other departments within the company. Ability to communicate with other employees at every level of the organization. Ability to juggle multiple priorities. Must possess a commitment to company values and providing high-quality customer service. Ability to forecast required labor and schedule what’s necessary. Ability to use email, MS Excel (for scheduling), MS Word. Physical Requirements: Ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance. Ability to work outside at a high elevation at times in inclement, cold weather. Ability to sit for hours at a time at a computer and telephone. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Work Environment: Work will be conducted mostly outside with minimal administrative duties conducted inside.
