Denver Human Services is currently seeking highly dedicated, dynamic, team player to serve in the role of the Parenthood Coordinator (Child Support Technician II)- Denver Human Services.

The Parenthood Coordinator/Child Support Technician II is responsible for:

  • Providing comprehensive support services for children and parents by connecting them with resources in the community, helping them navigate through Human Service programs, and motivating and assisting with goal setting
  • Assisting in recruiting nonprofit organizations, and other community groups to become part of an active and ever growing locally based support network for parents and individuals
  • Using information technology and other means to map and keep up to date about the current availability and supports in our community
  • Collecting customer and participant data and monitoring parent process in reaching goals
  • Facilitating parenting classes and legal clinics in person and on-line
  • Other duties as assigned

About You

We are looking for someone with some or all of the following skills and experience:

  • Experience working with fathers within the human services field
  • Experience providing adult education
  • Involvement with human services or community services
  • Bilingual Spanish (verbal and written fluency) – not required
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional track-record of successful coaching, mentoring and being a positive role-model
  • Extensive experience facilitating groups and handling difficult conversations
  • Grant-writing and data documentation skills

  • Education Requirement Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
  • Experience Requirement Four (4) years of experience performing child support initiation, enforcement, collections, investigations, case management or a related field.
  • Education & Experience Equivalency Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
