SUMMARY: Packers place packages of meat in boxes, label them, and place them in a conveyor that transport them to the Stackers. The position is a temp-to-perm position and is eligible to convert after 45 days. Once converted you become part of a great family where we offer outstanding benefits. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:

• Be in work station every day and on time.
• Used key to clock into the workstation.
• Memorize all codes used to identify products.
• Report any damage or open packages.
• Check packages for any foreign objects.
• Check label machine to insure is printing the labels correctly.
• Clean up workstation before the end of the shift.
• Good attendance is a must and flexible to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary work area in compliance with GMP and safety policies
• Help out in other areas as needed to train and develop and to ensure that product will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Employee will go through GMP training to ensure he/she understand the importance of following these practices.
• Employee will have to go through the Multivac loader training before working as a packer.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and extreme cold temperature. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
