Design Group is recruiting for a Packaging Production Artist. Remote work is available for the ideal candidate.

This individual will be responsible for creating production ready packaging files for paper, novelty and craft products using Adobe Creative Suite. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in graphic design, packaging design, typography, color theory and the manufacturing print processes. This is a mid-level position.

WHAT WILL I DO IN THIS ROLE?

  • Prepare files for internal review.
  • Reviewing and following customer style guides along with federal packaging guidelines.
  • Creation and release of packaging production art.
  • Prepare, print, and collate reference materials for manufacturing and internal reference.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Miscellaneous projects as assigned.


WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?
The successful candidate will possess the following:


  • High level of skill, speed, and accuracy in the Macintosh platform including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Technical skills to complete and release packaging production files.
  • Must be detail-oriented, deadline conscious, highly organized and motivated.
  • Advanced print process knowledge, including offset, flexo and gravure.
  • Excellent communication, time management and multitasking skills.
  • Great energy and a positive attitude.
  • Experience in packaging design preferred
  • Seasonal overtime may be required.
