Overhead Crane Operator

2nd Shift and 3rd Shift Opportunities

$1000 Signing Bonus

Tekfor is a precision automotive supplier that manufactures powertrain components. We have a 200-employee high volume forging & machining manufacturing plant with a 3-shift five-day operation. It is a modest size facility where everyone knows everyone and we are a profitable, successful business, which is growing to meet customer needs.

Operate overhead crane for incoming steel deliveries and movement within the plant. Trucks deliver steel inside the building and the overhead crane removes bundled steel rods from trucks and stores on racks. It also transfers steel to the forging press.

Qualifications

• Experience operating tow motor and overhead crane
• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to use the ERP system
• Must be shift flexible, including weekends as required
• Must successfully pass the Tekfor USA forklift training program
• Must successfully pass the crane operator safety course per Tekfor USA crane training program
• Ability to operate scales as required
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide simple numbers
• Ability to read and use gages and other inspection/measurement equipment correctly
• Ability to use equipment as trained
• Ability to work well with others

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Delivers materials to various machines and departments
• Complete daily ERP bookings
• Moves, stores and spaces materials as required
• Move scrap steel, banding and wood to disposal area
• Housekeeping of steel warehouse and bar rack area
• Adhere to safety standards and guidelines as outlined in Tekfor USA handbook
• General Housekeeping as required
• Other duties as assigned
• Completion of daily check sheets and PM’s as required
• Completes all required documentation and ensures the accuracy and timeliness of completion
• Ensures all stock is correctly identified and stored in correct location
• Follows all trained work instructions as required
• Trains other Crane Operators as required
