This recruitment will be used to fill eight part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) OSU GO Peer Advisor position for the Office of Global Opportunities at Oregon State University (OSU).
The OSU GO Peer Advisor Program is a leadership and professional development program for students who want to engage with OSU’s diverse student population, particularly underrepresented groups, to promote the internationalization of their peers’ experience at OSU. Peer Advisors represent the Office of Global Opportunities by serving as advocates for academic and pre-professional international and cross-cultural experiences. They effectively communicate the accessibility and benefits of participating in OSU GO-approved programs to their peers. Peer Advisors practice their public relations and marketing skills through social media campaigns and presentations designed for current and prospective students. They support OSU GO’s administrative work by assisting with special outreach projects and clerical work. In alignment with their own skills and interests, Peer Advisors are encouraged to propose new ways to reach potential students and educate the campus on the mission and value of international education. Peer Advisors are a vital component in motivating students to take advantage of the varied opportunities offered by the Office of Global Opportunities.Position Duties

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Preferred (Special) Qualifications
