JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for candidates who have extensive experience in the following areas of Oracle EBS Technologies – Oracle Forms, Reports, Workflow, SQL loader, Oracle Applications API’s, Database concepts, PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripts and Oracle Database Upgrade 9i to 11g to support a strategic client. The candidate partners with internal teams to deliver industry leading solutions and services in the ever changing landscape.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build Oracle Enhancements/BI Reports/Adhoc reports
- Prioritize competing demands, scoping large efforts and negotiating timelines are necessary skills.
- Engage Oracle Support to research and resolve issues.
- Build low-level ad-hoc query tools (Toad, SQLPlus) and a working knowledge SQL queries.
- Root cause analysis and complex problem solving for bugs reported
- Analyze data and translating business requirements into technical specifications.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
§ Bachelors degree preferably in Information Technology
CORE COMPETENCIES
- Advanced conceptual understanding of at least one Programming Language
- Advanced conceptual understanding of Oracle database and one Operating System
- Understanding of Software Engineering with practice in at least one project
- Ability to contribute in medium to complex tasks independently
- Exposure to Design Principles and ability to understand Design Specifications independently
- Ability to run Test Cases and scenarios as per the plan
- Ability to accept and respond to production issues and coordinate with stakeholders
- Good understanding of SDLC
- Analytical abilities
- Logical thinking
- Awareness of latest technologies and trends
- Technical and Professional Requirements:
- Data mapping, data conversions, interfaces and validation.
- The candidate must possess good knowledge of the Oracle R12 data models and skill with SQL queries (preferably TOAD).
