Under general supervision, the Operator I performs a variety of skilled tasks involved involving the general maintenance and operations processes; basic understanding of equipment and performs related work as required. · Embraces the 1 T.E.A.M. culture · Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work and in accordance with Safety Policy and OSHA standards. · Maintain a safe and healthful work environment by practicing safe work habits, good housekeeping procedures and adhering to safety guidelines. · Responsible for the review of work orders · Verification and recording of product identification · Ensuring material is loaded onto lines and fed into production equipment in accordance with all safety policies and quality procedures. · Responsible for building overarm to ensure material tracking · Performing in process visual inspection · Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned · Dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs · Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals · Ability to work outside normal business hours/days as needed · Able to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the company · Able to read and comprehend simple work instructions, work orders, short correspondence and memos written in English · Able to write simple correspondence in English · Industry knowledge and experience, a plus · The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
