Sort inbound freight to specified cities. Manifest out of town cities. Assign random freight assignments and assist with deliveries as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. The employee will occasionally work in precarious places, in outside weather conditions and in an environment with moderate noise DMC pays 75% of employee cost for medical only. You will be eligible for the company’s 401(k) plan during the next semi-annual enrollment period following the completion of one (1) year of continuous service. DMC will match 100% of the first 3% and 50% of the next 2%. Must be able to pass a 7 year back ground check and a pre-employment drug test. DMC is a drug free environment.
