Your Opportunity

Client Enterprise Solutions (CES) is a team dedicated to the development of a broad range of digital solutions for the water industry. The CES team is responsible for the business development and delivery of innovative digital related work and management consulting services embedded in broader engineering/infrastructure projects and stand-alone projects. We are seeking a candidate to lead the Operational Technology (OT) Sub Sector within CES to provide leadership and support existing strategic projects and to support business development for smart water technologies. A viable candidate must be able to engage directly with clients, explain complex programmatic digital solutions in a context that is relevant to the operations of a utility. It is expected that the candidate be experienced in the delivery leadership of such projects. The successful candidate will be capable to win work, grow the work and delivery the work.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support business development for the Client Enterprise Services Team in the North America and support business development in other geographies. Lead business development of mid to large sized OT projects.
  • Targeted annual revenue goal based on yearly sales plan, $15-22 million .
  • Engage with clients and potential clients to understand their needs and problems and apply CES solutions, solution history and personal solution history to help Stantec grow.
  • Lead the delivery of strategic projects in North America for the Client Enterprise Services Team.
  • Work closely with the regional leadership to identify and create/incubate opportunities for this offering across the Regions.
  • At a Principal level, responsible to recruit, mentor, train, develop, and deploy technical talent, mentor key staff in the practice. Be responsible for large projects of high complexity.
  • Work closely as a principal investigator on key research projects with our Research Groups.
  • Engage in the strategic planning of the CES team.
  • Support the development of the Stantec and CES brand.
  • Work with the Stantec Enterprise to identify technical personnel needed in BD and delivery cycles. Project. Identify and participate strategic campaigns in the CES market.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Solutions Team and Office of Innovation in identifying, developing and deployment of digital and automation solutions.
  • Engage in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
  • Maintain knowledge of water technology industry trends for application on projects.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Has lead teams on projects greater $10M in revenue.
  • 10 years of direct management and supervision responsibilities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in all forms of verbal and written business correspondence.
  • Regional Travel is expected and required.
  • Able to drive on behalf of Stantec.

Education & Experience

  • B.S. in Engineering with a preference for Electrical, Computer/Information Science Civil, Environmental or equivalent.
  • 15 years of specific experience in the water infrastructure industry (or other utility industry) either in building, design, or operations.

Working Conditions

  • Typical office environment working with computers.
  • Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
  • Travel 20%-40% - variable month to month.

Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in Colorado:

Hiring Salary Range: $127,200 - $178,400 Colorado location only. The final agrees upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
