Renaissance New York Flushing Hotel is the anchor to a 4-phase complex called Tangram, positioned to be the epicenter of Flushing, Queens, and spanning two city blocks. The 208-room hotel sits atop an 8-plex 4DX cinema and is flanked by high-end condominiums with a retail center including nearly 30 Asian style restaurants, beer garden and an expansive 5,000 sq ft fitness center with an Olympic-sized pool. Guestrooms feature a streamlined aesthetic with vibrant details like hand drawn wall coverings in the foyer, plus refrigerators, rain showers, and 55” articulating LCD TVs. VIP guests receive access to the hotel's Club Lounge, serving light snacks and a cozy place to unwind. Individual is responsible for serving our Club Lounge guests during our complimentary breakfast & evening cocktail service. Our Club Lounge Attendant will be a dynamic individual who is able to communicate well, the ability to serve and maintain cleanliness at the Club Lounge. The attendant will be quick on their feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude.

No matter what position you are in, there are a few things that are critical to success – creating a safe work place, following company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality, protecting company assets, upholding quality standards, and ensuring your uniform, personal appearance, and communications are professional. The Club Lounge Attendant be on their feet and moving around (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time) and taking a hands-on approach to work (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance). Doing all these things well (and other reasonable job duties as requested) is critical for the Club Lounge Attendant – to get it right for our guests and our business each and every time.

  • NYC Food Handler’s Certification
  • Detail oriented, excellent communication skills and the ability to engage our guests
  • Must be 18 years or older to serve and pour alcohol in New York. Bartending experience a plus.
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 50 lbs.)
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information when serving high profile.
  • Must have thorough understanding of the PMS, Ving and Reservation systems.
  • Must have experience in high traffic guest service establishments.
  • Complete knowledge and understanding of the service industry, policies and procedures to include sanitation.
  • Must have a sense of humor.
  • Must be self confident.

Responsibilities and Job Functions: include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Welcome patrons and customers as they arrive.
  • Serve drinks and present food offerings
  • Process sales through point of sale system as needed
  • Deliver food items to lounge guests as necessary and in a timely manner
  • Ensure that food presentation is up to standards
  • Clear tables
  • Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of dining areas and servicing equipment
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels of all condiments.
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
  • Attention to cleanliness and safety
  • Preparing for guests by cleaning and setting tables
  • Setting up any seasonal decorations, candles, or table cloths
  • Greeting patrons, and if needed, escorting guests to tables
  • Serving water to guests and refilling beverage glasses as needed
  • Placing and replacing silverware as needed
  • Delivering beverages from the bartender if needed
  • Stocking serving stations with napkins, utensils, trays, condiments, and salt and pepper containers
  • Removing guests’ dirty dishes and utensils
  • Delivering used dishes and utensils to the kitchen for cleaning
  • Assisting dishwashers to scrape, stack, or load dishes into dishwasher as needed
  • Vacuuming, sweeping or mopping the Club Lounge
  • Removing trash and recycling; replacing trash bags
  • Cleaning up guest spills as needed
  • Directing guests to restrooms or exits as needed
  • Clearing table as guests complete their meals and preparing tables for next guests
  • Following and maintaining all sanitation and safety procedures

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
