POSITION SUMMARY: The Department of Internal Medicine Division of Infectious Diseases and International Medicine is pleased to announce a faculty position available at the Morsani College of Medicine (MCOM) as a non-tenure track Infectious Diseases Clinician Educator. The infectious diseases clinician will provide inpatient infectious diseases consultation to adult patients, primarily at Tampa General Hospital with possible assignment to the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center, or the Department of Health HIV clinic. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a record of excellence in patient care and scholarly activities and possess experience working in an academic medical center environment that supports appointment in the College at rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or above requires a minimum of five years of continuing and productive service as an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor, or the equivalent. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher level administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Responsible for academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department/unit on university and/or Statewide committees. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM: • Must have a medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Candidates must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease • Must hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical License or foreign equivalent required. Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor. For Associate or Full Professor, normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in referred and professional journals. PREFERRED:
