Job Description


Onboarding is a pivotal moment in the employee life cycle and represents one of the biggest opportunities for people to adopt values and shift their behaviors. In light of current changes in the workplace and the workforce, dentsu is reassessing how we welcome and assimilate new employees into the company and get them up to speed so they can integrate and bring their skills, experience and be productive as quickly as possible. This role will oversee the entire onboarding experience and programs at dentsu across the Americas. The role will report into the Americas Talent Acquisition Lead and work closely with dentsu’s Talent Acquisition, Learning, Operations, and Technology teams to create a seamless, integrated and connected new hire onboarding.


Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Bring a fresh outlook on how we engage and connect with our employees throughout the onboarding process by leveraging modern approaches in our remote/hybird working environment.
  • Partner with Business Leaders and our People and Functions teams (HR, Tech, Finance) to re-imagine and craft the entire onboarding experience with focus on candidate/new hire engagement and long-term retention - aligned with dentsu’s Future of Work strategy
  • Optimize the end-to-end onboarding experience - including hiring, welcoming, orienting, and engaging a new hire to help them become acclimated and integrated into the corporate culture
  • Clearly define roles & responsiblities and hand-offs amongst the team including Hiring Managers and ensure all stakeholders are trained on the process and understand their role
  • Drive operational excellence and enhance existing onboarding technology/tools; introduce innovation and automation into the process where possible to allow for a focus on the moments that matter
  • Putting the candidate/new hire experience at the center, streamline and simplify stakeholder communications across the entire onboarding life cycle
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration and evolve existing support model to address issues quickly and effectively and to ensure a smooth and seamless onboarding experience
  • Partner with the Learning & Development team to design, develop and manage dentsu onboarding learning programs including the design of training decks, job aids, scripts and storyboards
  • Facilitate and enable new hire orientation leaders and connect the new employee with key information, resources, and people within the organization; create a sense of belonging and get them off to a running start
  • Create touch points and opportunities to provide feedback throughout the process, including measurement and evaluating trends for use in identifying improvements
  • Collaborate with Technology to ensure best practices related to new hire onboarding are being met from an IT perspective
  • Collaborate with the Talent Architecture team to stay abreast of new acquisition integration timelines as it relates to onboarding programs
  • Collaborate with the Compliance team to ensure compliance requirements included in Onboarding are up-to-date and are being met
  • Work with SMEs to update the Onboarding curricula as needed based on compliance regulations, updated policies and processes, and other updated content
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve the experience, process and programs

  • Experience in collaborating with global teams and clients to manage expectations
  • Excellent English-language verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, superior organizational skills

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Education, HR, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in managing large global onboarding programs
  • Advanced computer skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Learning Management Systems
  • Experience with HTML is a plus, but not required
