As a staff of the Administrative Support Unit, serves as coordinator in processing all National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits and all State construction and operating permits including for sewers, sewage treatment plants, industrial treatment and pretreatment, sludge land application, spray irrigation, mines’ tax certifications, and agri-chemical endorsements in the Permit Section, Division of Water Pollution Control, Bureau of Water. 30% 2. Serves as coordinator for the log in, initial intake, review and screening of permit applications and required documentation; 20% 3. Responds to written, electronic and telephone inquiries from applicants, consultants, general public, and Agency staff regarding the status of all state and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits and their required documentation; 10% 4. Functions as a backup to BOW staff in the log in for processing of 401 Water Quality Certifications, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACOE) Joint Application Program, tax certifications, agrichemical endorsements, and the State Construction and Operating Permit Programs. 05% 5. Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. 1. Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to two years of secretarial/business college, or completion of high school and two years of related office experience, or two years of independent business experience. 2. Keyboarding accurately at 30 words per minute. 1. Requires extensive knowledge of office practices, procedures and programs. 2. Requires extensive knowledge of composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation. 3. Requires extensive knowledge of basic mathematics. 4. Requires working knowledge of the logic of computer programs. 5. Requires ability to follow oral or written instructions. 6. Requires ability to operate commonly used manual and automated office equipment and perform routine maintenance. 7.
