Position SummaryThis Center is Nevada's first baby friendly designated birth center. Our beautiful unit consists of 12 beds in the OB department; including 8 private labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum rooms (LDRP), 4 private rooms post cesarean section patients and 1 operating room suite for cesarean sections. The Women and Children's Center offers full service childbirth education programs, lactation consultants on staff, couplet care for new moms and babies, fully equipped nursery for stabilization, centralized monitoring, OB triage and breast feeding warm line.
As an OB Technician you will be responsible for supporting the Women and Children's Center through clerical, patient care, and surgical scrub duties. You will be performing patient care duties and preparing for deliveries and c-sections and assisting the RN in the delivery room or scrubbing for c-sections.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1-year experience in an acute care environment
  • Completion of an organized nursing assistant program required
  • Previous experience as an OB or Surgical Technician is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current BLS certification
