Description: Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Nutrition Services, Lead (1.0 FTE, Evenings) to work in Nutrition Services at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA. The Nutrition Services Barista, Lead is responsible for leading the daily operations of the department, including scheduling and monitoring activities to verify compliance with established policies and standards. Provides leadership and direction to staff in coordination with and in the absence of a supervisor's presence. Assumes role of "person in charge" when required, in accordance with Washington State Food Code. Responsible for the delegation of daily duties to ensure that all work is completed in a timely manner. Assists with orienting and training staff. Assists with the dissemination of information to staff by holding staff meetings as required. Communication liaison between the management team and employees. Provides input on employee evaluations. Distributes cash banks to staff as required. Performs related tasks as required. Responsible for cross training to each nutrition position to assure competence so that support can be provided in an emergent situation and to assure lead has a full understanding of the expectations of each position.
