Nursing Technician Good Samaritan Hospital is a 537- bed (including 100 nursing home beds) teaching hospital and a member of Catholic Health . The Nursing Technician performs, under the supervision or direction of a Registered Nurse, those duties to assist in safe treatment and care of patients in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities: Assists with admission of patients re: reception, equipment preparation, vital signs, obtaining actual weights, orientation to surroundings and implementation of safety measures Performs direct care with attention to personal hygiene, safety, comfort and skin care while anticipating the needs of the patient and family. Performs oxygen equipment preparation, phlebotomy, 12 lead EKG, Arrhythmia interpretation Responsible to prepare patients for meals and assist with feeding as directed. Distributes water and other nourishments as directed. Assists and/or transports patients in a timely and safe manner.
