Nuclear Contract Manager 4

POSITION SUMMARY: The Nuclear Contract Manager provides procurement and contract throughout the lifecycle of a contract for engineering, design, fabrication, testing, manufacturing, and/or construction contracts in accordance with established policies and procedures. Performs tasks as assigned to include, but not limited to, planning, bidder prequalification, development of bidder lists, development of bid solicitation packages, bid analysis, negotiations, administration, change management, and closeout.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *
- Drafts, Evaluates, Negotiates, and Executes contracts, including, but not limited to, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Subcontracts, Consulting Agreements, Licensing Agreements, Master Services Agreements, Task Orders, and Purchase Orders review of customer proposed terms and conditions.
- Serves as the single point of contact on contractual matters. Acts as a contractual “liaison” between company employees and suppliers, ensuring timely review and approval / reconciliation of deviations.
- Provides redlined recommendations and often negotiates directly with suppliers’ attorneys or purchasing staff until consensus has been reached.
- Maintains contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, supplier contact information, contract changes, status reports and other documents for all contracts.
- Provides guidance on contract matters to project managers or other operational staff.
- Monitors competitive terms. Monitors satisfaction with our terms and conditions and contracting practices. Recommends changes.
- Produces and Manages Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI), and Requests for Quote (RFQ).
- Interfaces with ordering departments to ensure scope and technical requirements are clearly specified. Facilitates discussions with ordering departments and suppliers.
- Coordinates terms and conditions review with legal representation and Finance as necessary to ensure legal and other risks are minimized.
- Ensures contract closeout, extension, or renewal.
- Provides mentorship to other Procurement team members.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Quality Assurance: Demonstrates understanding and implementation of quality assurance regulations, standards and guidelines of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and ASME NQA-1.
MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
- Education: A minimum of B.S. or B.A. in Supply Chain, Business Management, Finance, Economics, or related field required. Masters degree and/or Certified Purchasing Manager preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years of highly relevant, full-time working experience in procurement and contract management in the nuclear or similar industry required.
- Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
