As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to: Education: Work Experience: Licenses and Certifications : If Nurse Practitioner*: If Physician Assistant*: All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire. CPR certification and advanced life support certifications if relevant to practice area (ACLS, PALS, NRP). *Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice. Park Street, Madison, just two miles from University Hospital. UW Health partnered with UnityPoint Health – Meriter in 2017 as a way to better serve our community by leveraging the complex, tertiary capabilities of the UW Health system and the community-based hospital and primary care capabilities of UnityPoint Health - Meriter.
Minimum –
If Nurse Practitioner : Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program
If Physician Assistant : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program
Minimum - Two (2) years of relevant clinical experience
Preferred – Extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology and management of acute and chronic patient/family health problems.
Minimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
Light: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
