Position Title:Non Clinical Safety Attendant - OUMC - PRN Nights

General Description: Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs routine tasks in patient care.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Responds to emergency situations related to dangerous or potentially dangerous patient behaviors.
• Reports symptoms and significant changes in patient’s condition to RN
• Transports patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary
• Assists transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Assists in Keeping the patient’s room in clean and orderly condition
• Assists in restocking rooms with supplies and equipment as directed
• Sits with patients to ensure safety and well-being of patient, as needed

• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications :

Education: None

Experience: None

License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively, and follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to maintain effective working relations with others.
