When you join our Technology Consulting practice as an intern, you're a part of our Consultant Development Program (CDP). Each individual experience will vary but through this program you'll be provided learning opportunities, technical competency training, and coaching to develop core consulting skills.

As a Technology Consultant you will help our clients actualize the potential of technology to improve processes and drive innovation through Digital and Emerging Technologies, Data & Analytics, Technology Solutions Delivery, and Technology Transformation.
Within Technology Consulting there are several opportunities within industry sectors; you can select your preference in our collect form, linked above.
Financial Services Organization (FSO):
- As a Financial Services Technology Consulting intern, you will focus exclusively in financial services and will have the opportunity to serve leading investment banks, retail and commercial banks, insurers and investment managers.
- Technology Consulting interns within FSO will have diversified experiences across clients and technology competencies. Once you have developed a strong foundation, we will work with you to determine a more specific area of concentration for the next phase of your career journey.
- For those looking to have a specific area of concentration from the outset there is the opportunity to align to a Data & Analytics or Platform Implementation track.
National Consulting:
- The National Consulting practice serves clients across a variety of industries including, but not limited to: Advanced Manufacturing & Mobility, Power & Utilities, Health Sciences & Wellness, Consumer, and Technology, Media & Entertainment, Telecommunications.
- Technology Consulting interns within National Consulting will be aligned to one of the following tracks: Platforms, Data & Analytics, and Engineering.
Government & Public Sector (GPS):
- As an intern with the Government & Public Sector practice, you’ll have the opportunity to work with federal clients, as well as state and local agencies and higher education institutions.
- Technology consulting interns within GPS will be aligned to one of the following tracks: Technology Consulting or Data & Analytics.
Your key responsibilities may include:
- Helping clients drive business-led and technology-enabled transformation across a broad range of business issues
- Understanding and documenting clients’ business processes and requirements, performing root cause analyses, developing business cases, and gathering information
- Taking full responsibility for tasks including consistent self-review of work to identify and improve an approach for producing high quality work products, while working under supervision
- Growing lasting relationships with our clients, understanding their needs, and consistently delivering quality client services
- Monitoring progress, managing risks and ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
- Developing specific technology skills relevant to engagement and project work
- Continuously updating your understanding of current business and industry trends
To qualify for the role you must have:
- Obtained or progress toward a bachelor’s degree in a relevant technology discipline, i.e. Computer Science, Computer or other technology-related Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Statistics, Math, MIS
- Desire to work in consulting demonstrated by relevant course work, interest or internship experience
- Willingness and ability to learn and work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated project management, teaming, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
- Integrity within a professional environment
- The flexibility and willingness to travel as well as work in excess of standard hours when necessary
- The understanding that when it is safe to do so, travel is an essential function of the job, may vary by location and can be up to 80%
- Proficiency with MS Office, including MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint
- A driver’s license valid in the U.S.
- Candidates interested in the Government & Public Sector industry focus must have sole U.S. citizenship and be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance or higher, within the designated timeframe, which will be determined by the engagement requirements for a security clearance
In addition to the above qualifications we are seeking candidates with an aptitude, interest, and/or experience in any of the following:
- Development skills such as Java, Javascript, .Net, Python, C, C++, PHP, IoT development, or web development
- Analytics focused tools and platforms including, but not limited to, SQL, R, Tableau, Power BI, and Spotfire
- Business process design, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, such as SAP or Oracle, or integration tools
