Main Purpose Of Role

Creates and executes strategic growth plans with key Scientific Channel Customers to deliver the business Net Sales and Gross profit growth objectives across the KCP business category portfolio for this channel. Additionally, this role executes the category growth plans required to deliver growth targets for the Pharmaceutical Market Segment in North America, leading the key marketing mix to build our brand and grow our share. The Channel Marketing Manager collaborates closely with Scientific Sales & Category Leadership to develop and execute business plans, build marketing and market capability, and participates in building out the optimum portfolio to win with Pharmaceutical and the Scientific Channel.

Role Accountabilities

Business Leadership:

  • In conjunction with Global Scientific GM & Sales team, designs & executes Distributor / Channel Segmentation and Treatment Strategy for assigned partners

  • Drives distributor growth by participating in development of distributor business analysis partnering with Business Intelligence / Sales Analytics / Sales , including category performance, customer base evolution (i.e. Churn, new business, etc.) and DSR performance tracking

  • Works with channel partners to design & execute ideal Digital Shelf for all KCP categories

  • Partners with Customer Marketing to identify gaps in current distribution to reach targeted choosers and works with the Sales team to build acquisition plans

  • Partners with Brand Marketing to execute Category strategies to deliver growth targets for assigned Distributors / Channel Partners

  • Partners with Brand Marketing & ECommerce team to develop & executes product assortment strategy for key online channel partners

New Business Acquisition / Penetration / Retention:

  • Partners with Sales to acquire Sell Out data from channel partners & uses this to identifies new customer targets to accelerate growth with them

  • Develops annual plan for assigned customers and executes omni-channel commercial programs including digital and catalogue content, search optimization, sales promotions and loyalty & incentive programs, to deliver ABP objectives for acquisition / penetration / retention

Standard Work

  • Provides marketing support to the Sales Organization including promotional requests, distributor presentations, out of stock communications, literature management, new customer setup

  • Ensures all marketing content is uploaded & maintained in the Digital Asset Management System

  • Partners with Central Digital Operations team to develop & execute digital sales tools, websites, SEO/SEM etc.

  • Monitors performance of marketing programs (ROI) and adjusts accordingly

  • Manages assigned marketing budget within CFI’s

  • Actively visits customers and channel partners to capture insights and check and adjust marketing programs

Education & Experience

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business-related discipline

  • 7-10 years of experience in marketing / sales roles with a demonstrated track record of achievement and growth in leadership behavior

  • P&L management

  • Resolving complex problems and translating to business opportunities

  • Managing & successfully influencing complex stakeholder relationships

Preferred:

  • Masters / MBA with concentration in Marketing

  • Experience in a B2B environment

  • Experience with regulated products/industries and/or highly technical products (i.e. Medical, Pharmaceutical, Microelectronics)

  • Experience in managing e-Commerce customers

Commercial / Functional Skills:

  • Proven business & organizational acumen – understanding of market dynamics, P&L management & commercial mindset etc.

  • Product portfolio, digital shelf & promotion management

  • Excellent understanding of brand foundational tools

  • Proven analytics skills

  • Able to make tough, informed decisions quickly to keep performance on track

  • Able to navigate and perform in ambiguous circumstances

  • Demonstrated contagious positive energy to influence, inspire & drive results

  • Able to read, write & speak English fluently
