Profile ID: 99 Job Profile Title: Medical Technologist Tier I Position Summary: As a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician you will provide information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease by conducting medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses.The MT/MLT coordinates a variety of administrative, fiscal, and technical activities to ensure the efficient operation of the clinical laboratory in the performance of tests for the diagnoses and treatment of disease. Managerial/Supervisory Responsibilities: None Accountabilities/Essential Job Functions: Qualifications Education/Training: Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or industry recognized equivalent. Experience: None specific License/Certification: ASCP certified Medical Technologist or NCA certified or equivalent. Skills: Trained on and able to operate all laboratory equipment, concise oral presentation and written communication skills, computer literate. Environmental and Job Hazards: Exposure to communicable diseases, (blood borne pathogens) and toxic substances. Physical and Mental Demands: Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Frequent standing and walking for extended periods of time, lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs. visual acuity and normal color perception.
