This position is located at the Redding DMV Driver Safety Office (DSO).


Seeking an enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude for public contact and customer service. Duties include handling post-licensing actions in the area of physical and mental conditions, negligent operations, Administrative Per Se, and other Driver Safety related issues; creating and scheduling cases; preparing notices and case files; updating the Driver License database; utilizing the Driver Safety Automation Program and other computer systems; preparing and sending notices and documents; and handling incoming and outgoing mail and faxes.

Desirable qualifications: ability to communicate with the public, law enforcement and legal professionals in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner; computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); a high degree of integrity; ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations and customers; ability to work independently under pressure; ability to meet required deadlines; well-developed written and verbal communication skills; analytical and problem solving skills; interpersonal skills including sensitivity, patience and flexibility; dependable; and punctual.

The position(s) being advertised may be subject to allocation approval by the Human Resources Branch. Fingerprint/Criminal Record Clearance is required before hire. The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Salaries are non-negotiable and are subject to the California Department of Human Resources salary rules. Salaries for part-time and/or intermittent appointments may vary. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.
