Mortgage Loan Closer

Summary
Responsible for completing and reviewing existing mortgage files as well as ordering due diligence associated with the satisfaction of approval conditions prior to the preparation of a mortgage loan closing and renewal documents.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions:
- Required to be knowledgeable of all mortgage loan products and services offered by CFCU as well as all federal and state laws governing the mortgage industry.
- Calculate closing costs and provide to members all loan closing documents in accordance with the applicable federal laws.
- Ensure that all transaction costs are included in the Loan Closing Disclosure.
- Responsible for preparing the documentation required to be sent to our law firm for legal opinion.
- Responsible for all insurance required for mortgage loans such as risk insurance (Hazard), Flood insurance (if applicable), Title Insurance and ensure that the Mortgage Insurance (MGIC) meets all conditions or specifications.
- Coordinate the closing date with all parties making sure that all documents and conditions in the file are complete, and reviews approved mortgage loan to determine conditions that must be met prior to closing.
- Prepared to explain all closing documents to members on the closing date and ensure that all necessary documents requiring the signature are signed.
- Responsible for preparing and processing the disbursement of mortgage and commercial loans.
- Assist in completing the file with the necessary conditions to be sold in the secondary market.
- Assist when needed to the Mortgage Loan Servicing Division, including but not limited to work with escrow accounts for property taxes and insurance, canceled loans, among others.
- Responsible to comply with all Federal and State by-laws, rules and regulations.
- Employee shall also perform such other related duties and services as required.
