Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for conducting/coordinating analyses of raw materials and microbiology release testing of manufacturing production lots, in-process and finished products and formulations according to SOPs. Must perform general microbiology tasks using aseptic technique, culturing methodologies, microbial testing methods for bioburden and assist in environmental monitoring, pipetting, autoclaving, and surface disinfection. Experience working with Biosafety Level 2 organisms is required. Performs light clerical duties, such as data entry, logs incoming samples, records analytical results, and preparation of reports. Assist in performing literature search for analytical methods. Initiate non-conformance and deviation reports, when necessary. Perform investigations on adverse quality/performance conditions to understand root cause and corrective actions necessary for resolution. Duties include but not limited to compile data for documentation of test procedures and prepares reports. Ensures all testing processes, monitoring, and departmental documentation meet cGMP standards. Assists in the development of new equipment, methodologies, concepts, techniques, and standards for Quality Control. Keeps management apprised of any condition and/or findings that may impact production schedules including any issues for which the customer may need to be contacted.
