Materials Process Engineer

Full Job Description:

Trialco Inc. is a quality secondary aluminum foundry located in Chicago Heights. We are now hiring a Materials Process Engineer. Our ideal candidate is reliable, self-driven, and of course, hard-working. Trialco is an essential supplier for some of the largest manufacturing companies in the world.

The Materials Process Engineer is an integral member of the Trialco Operations team and will report directly to the company President. This position will be expected to interact with all operations personnel including the Plant Manager, Maintenance Manager, and other production and quality staff. The Process Engineer will also be expected to work with outside consultants, legal advisors, outside contractors, and regulatory agencies, as necessary.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Minimum BA in Engineering, Material Science, or another related field
• Working knowledge of metal chemistries, scrap handling and melt practices
• Experience working within a manufacturing operation
• Working knowledge of regulatory requirements of OSHA, EPA, and other local, state, and federal agencies
• Experience in a certified quality program, preferably ISO 9001
• Working knowledge of robotics, automation, and other aspects of process improvement strategies

Specific Duties:

• Cross-train across all departments with the company (expected to be 6-12 months)
• Work with production scheduling and furnace forecasting
• Work in the metal analysis lab and other quality assurance areas
• Evaluate production and maintenance processes and recommending strategies for improvement
• Aid in project management of approved recommendations for improvement
• Work with Sales Team to help with technical specifications requested by customers
• Become an integral part of Trialco’s ISO 9001 quality system
• Aid in training employees on new processes developed as part of plant operations

Job Type: Full-time, Salaried

Pay: $65,000-80,000 (depending on experience)

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
